Last week I showed you our new wool rug, knitted pouf, and roman shades, which are pretty much making our living room about 80% done. Yay! Here’s an updated to do list:

Yes my sofa pillows have finally arrived! I know that the Chiang Mai Dragon trend has come and gone, but I’m still totally in love with this Schumacher fabric, and I think I always will be. I love that it’s a floral, yet is still gender neutral. I mean it kind of reminds me of old school tattoos. Derek and I joked around that if I ever got a tattoo [which I never will] it would be a whole sleeve of Chaing Mai fabric.. how cool would that look?? I digress.
Incase you missed them in this post, here are my new pillows:

For most people this fabric is unattainable unless you know an Interior Designer [ahem!], or plan to fork over a LOT of dough at some Etsy shops. But for those of you who love this fabric and aren’t “of the trade”, I have a little treat for you. A few months ago I stumbled across this Ebay shop that sells pillows like these for UBER cheap [considering this fabric retails for $200+ a yard]. They sell out pretty much as soon as they get them in, so I’ve been stalking it everyday since I found it. Well last week they had them again, so I quickly ordered two pillows without even hesitating. I mean, when you love something you must set it free make it yours, right? Especially when it’s 70% retail.

I’m not usually a huge fan of Ebay, unless it has the “buy it now” option. The whole bidding thing has always been a nightmare to me, and I’ve been screwed over one too many times by sellers who claim something is authentic and then once it arrives it’s a replica and then the seller disappears once complaints are made. But this seller is amazing! I was nervous that this was too good to be true, and I was a little scared to order something out of the country [because I've had things get lost in customs before]. But these pillows were at my front door in less than a week! And they were perfect in every way.

It’s hard to find this fabric on anything for a good price these days, but when you do it’s like finding buried treasure! And when I find good deals, I always love to pass them on to you. Have any of you found a good deal on some Chiang Mai? I saw it on Ebay once for $10/yard after it had already sold out. Boo. I would have bought 1,000 yards :P

It looks very nice!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this post! I was contemplating spending $80 for a Schumacher Celerie Kembel Hot House Flowers in Spark 18″x18″ pillow cover on Etsy for months now. I stumbled across your “Jonathan Adler-Esque Bathroom” post on Pinterest clicked the link to your blog and kept on reading! I am so glad I did! I just purchased the exact pillow I wanted for $38 with shipping! SO beyond thrilled! Can I say thank you one more time?

Awe yay! I’m so glad that my post helped! I’m with you though I was debating just taking the plunge on some identical ones I found on Etsy, but I’m SO glad I kept looking at ebay. I always forget about ebay these days lol I’m glad you found my blog too! :)
