A few weeks ago we noticed some new lighting and ghost chairs in the old Oloroso building in Southtown and then we saw the sign. FEAST. We couldn’t wait for to open! We noticed during First Friday that their patio was packed, so we knew it had to be good. This past Saturday we met up with our dear friends Steve and Lauren to test it out. It was yet again packed [always a good sign] and we had hoped for a patio seat but ended up sitting inside. That was fine with me, I wanted to ogle the interiors anyway.
Everything was so glamourous. It was a nice change of pace for the usual Southtown venues. I loved the way they played with texture and light. Lots of acrylic, white and black with pops of color in the staff’s aprons and the quirky artwork.
Right away the menu captivated us. Adult chicken fingers, sweet corn croquettes, ground lamb kebabs, jack cheese mac, OMG to. die. for. The drink menu was simple and each drink was delish. Lauren and I ordered the Princess while Derek had the King and Steve the Prince. Cute names right? Oh so good. Plus the king comes in a silver martini glass. Love it.
Because everything is served tapas style we all shared and were able to try a lot of the menu. Which only means, we’ll be going back soon to try even more.
Who knitted these pot holders as a kid? Just me? This mac and cheese was incredible. I honestly didn’t want to stop eating it, but there were just so many other things to try!
Everything was presented in a such a unique way which just how we like it. They’re only open for dinner now, but will begin serving Sunday brunch this weekend and I cannot wait. If their brunch is anything like their dinner, I’m sold! I love that Southtown is getting so many new restaurants and I think that Feast is just what we needed. Have you been to Feast? Tell us about it!
