We’re continuing with our series featuring some of the creative people that we know. Every Tuesday we will introduce them as they share with us the ten things they can’t live without. Today we are introducing our dear friend and fellow blog writer, Etsy shop owner: Delaney’s Designs, DIYer and crafter extraordinaire, Delaney Harbuck. [@delaneyharbuck]

[one] my wonderful husband

I know its corny, and mushy and all that, but seriously he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would be completely lost without him in my life. I cant even begin to explain all the happiness and joy he brings me. Ok, he drives me a little crazy sometimes too. But it’s so worth it :) I have someone to spend my life with, a partner, a companion. And that, my friends, is truly priceless.

[two] faith

I can basically say the same thing about my faith as I can about my husband. It’s what gets me through every good day and bad day. It is my hope. My love. The essence of me.

“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have no love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13

[three] music

I have no musical talent. I can’t sing, can’t play instruments, and couldn’t tell you the difference between one key and another. But there is just something about music that is so powerful. It can say everything I’m not, be sad with me, be happy with me, praise with me. It’s kinda like that best friend that can always relate. Ok, I probably sound like a crazy person right now, but if there is anyone who loves music like I do, then you know exactly what I mean ;) Some of my faves right now are Katy, Taylor, Zac Brown, and NeedtoBreathe.

[four] art

This includes….well, everything really, but in my world its fashion, photography, painting, decorating, crafting.These things make my world go round. Fashion is so fascinating because you take any article of clothing and combine with it with others to make something unique. Photography is just ridiculous. It blows my mind how each photo can evoke such emotion out of a person, how the way things look on camera can change your world, its just..wow. Painting is just something that is fun for me, a de-stresser. Decorating is just in my genes. I love a well put-together room/home. And finally, crafting. Homemade gifts are the best thing to receive and to make. Plus, I like knowing how to do things. Chances are if I see something in s store I like, I’m more likely yo try and figure out how to make it before buying anything :)

[five] cooking

I used to not be so big on cooking, but being married has changed that. I love trying to find recipes and cool new things to make. I also love doing my own thing with recipes and making them my own.

[six] family

AKA: support group, best friends, shoulders to cry on, etc. This includes those who truly are, and those who I choose to be my family. I dont know what I would do without them. It’s a connection that is unbreakable. I really don’t know how else to say that I love these people more than anything.

[seven] sushi

I just love sushi. It’s, hands down, my favorite thing to eat. I wish I knew how to make it.

[eight] thrift stores

I pretty much either buy all my clothes at thrift stores, or on the sale rack. I just love thrifting because it’s like a treasure chest. You never know what you might find and you always save money. Thrift shopping is really addicting. I even consign with a store to sell back all my old clothes I don’t wear or want anymore. It’s a good way to keep some extra cash in your hand and keep fresh looks in your closet!

[nine] puppies & babies

Both are very small creatures that bring a certain type of joy to my life. I really don’t understand this love, but it’s like a fever. They are so cute and cuddly and ahhhh I just eat it up. Puppies are so sweet and tiny. Babies are so precious and wondrous. Unfortunately, Phil will not let me have a dog, and I’m still waiting for the right time for a lil Harbuck, but oh when the day comes. I’m gonna give them so much love. :)

[ten] hulu

Not only one of the greatest ideas of the century, but I can keep up with all my shows on my own time. TV is so particular about it, ya know. This show only comes on at 6pm on thursdays and if you actually have a life and arent home at that time, well too bad! Haha. Not anymore, I can watch Hulu, whenever I want! Plus, it allows me to see some of my favorite characters every week!
