dc:finds | sexy bachelor pads

September 24 2010

In honor of Derek’s new life in San Antonio, we’ve decided to share some inspiration for men’s apartments aka bachelor pads! Don’t worry.. no overstuffed lazyboy cupholder sofas or round leopard beds red silk sheets here. Just some sleek and sexy man rooms that would actually make a girl WANT to stay! ;)

See? They’re pretty hott. What are some of the worst bachelor pad furniture pieces you’ve seen?

Happy Weekend!

I think any guy that has setups like this are gauranteed a voluntary sleep over :P I wish MY apartment looked like these, minus the American Psycho ones.

    Catherine,

The second one down is my favorite.
I would love to hire you to choose a similar color palette for my new digs when I return to San Antonio this summer. My one piece of good furniture is my Norwalk sofa and it’s not “modern” at all; it’s classic. Maybe you can “work” with it. Or maybe we’ll take a bargain furniture shopping trip. Maybe it just needs some funky colorful pillows.

I definitely agree with your use and demand for color in design.

    Steve,

I would LOVE to help you with your new space! That living room is one of my favorites as well. I love when guys aren’t afraid to have bold colors and statements [like that striped wall] in their homes. I’d have to see your sofa, but I bet we could incorporate it some how. I love mixing modern with traditional, it’s a really fun challenge that can have some pretty great results. My own apartment is modern meets traditional with my crazy contemporary coffee table derek made me next to a mustard wing back chair. I love it! 90% of my furniture is thrifted and the most I’ve ever spent on one piece is $40 so I’d love to go shopping with you and find some fun treasures :) And yes, the right pillows can do wonders to a space. I’m really excited to work with you! I can’t wait :)
