In honor of the finale of Project Runway tonight, I’ve decided to share some of my current favorite things about fashion. Even if you aren’t that into fashion, there’s still some pretty cool stuff. So if you’re a lover of design in general take a look!

It really just warms my heart seeing the elderly men still dressed to the nines going about their daily routine.

Yes, I know that these were originally a sign of wear and tear on your clothing, but I love how they’ve come back. Especially on children’s clothing, and in complimentary colors and textures.. mmmmmm

[four] helvetica scarf

I’m not really sure what could be better than combining my two favorite things. It comes in lowercase, uppercase, and numbers, in black, grey, or white. SO many options!!!

I’m obsessed with texture in all facets of life, but especially fashion. The juxtaposition of metallics, and twills, and furs, and leather.. it just blows my mind. Annnnnd I’m done geeking out about fabric.

[six] trendy children

Children are already miniature people, but being miniature fashion forward people? Awesome. Let’s play a game.. Find mini Catharine and mini Derek :) Winner gets an iPad*

*winner does not actually get an iPad considering we don’t even have one yet now we do! ..er Derek does

Only a good chair nerd could appreciate the legit-ness of these, which we are. So they are legit.

Just like in Interior Design, I love when people pair bold colors with neutrals, or wear complimentary colors.

Who said prismacolors were only for rendering? I’m a fan of any wooden jewelry considering metal is my kryptonite.. so this is the perfect way to combine more of my favorite things!

I love how the simple traditional American charm is making a comeback in fashion. Lots of neutrals, and layers, and bow ties, and heavy framed glasses.. its wonderful.

We can’t forget the lovely models who also contribute to Project Runway, so I thought I’d display some in what I think is their most beautiful state… reading.

What are some of your favorite things in the fashion world today? I think I should have a post about terrible trends too haha.. Well anyway, even if you haven’t watched any of this season of Project Runway you should at least check out tonight’s finale. The final runway is the best part! :D
